Discover the rich tapestry of history that shapes Montfort Manor.111
Embracing the Montfort name, Euice Madden, (the youngest daughter of John) moved to Morwell to marry Reginald Davey. Later on they purchased land at Hazelwood for their two sons to farm. After this was acquired by the SECV to expand its mining they then purchased land between Morwell and Traralgon. Alan (Melinda’s father) and Roger originally ran this as a milking farm (parts of the old dairy still exist) they eventually moved into beef farming. This land was also acquired by the State Government. The walking/bike path heading towards Morwell meanders through the back end of their farm. Our manor in Gippsland seeks to honor this legacy by offering a sanctuary where history and luxury converge. Here, guests are invited to experience the tranquility and elegance that define Montfort Manor.
